Abelardo “Lalo” Delgado

Abelardo “Lalo” Delgado grew up in Segundo Barrio. He graduated from Bowie High School in 1950. Lalo was an important leader and was active with Sacred Heart Church. Part of his archive is at the UTEP Special Collections and the Benson Library at UT Austin. He was also a talented and well-known poet. In the photograph, he is seated to the left of Father Gilly in 1949. Can you identify the other young men in the group photograph?
